The communication with the shuttle was awful. I waited 45 minutes on a shuttle which was okay. However the shuttle drop off was a disaster. Yes it’s complimentary but no one made me aware I would be in a shuttle for 50 minutes taking me to other end of Hwy 280 which caused me to miss my 11:00 appointment. She also relayed to driver the wrong location of where to drop me off.

Blake Harper made my experience buying a new car easy. I financed part of it and was able to get a great interest rate. The application process was easy and took less than an hour to complete. Since I was trading in a car, I had to go home to get a few things that went with my trade-in. When I returned, they had washed, prepared, and filled my new car with gas. Everyone there was friendly and smiling. It's hard to believe they had the exact car, color, and accessories I wanted. Thus far, I am also pleased with the Buick Envista-Avenir. It's hard to believe that it has more hip room, leg room, and almost as much cargo space as my larger SUV, which I traded for it. It is quiet, rides very well, handles like a sports car, and gets impressive gas mileage. It's also easier for me to get in and out of it. I would call this a great trade!

I had six dealerships on my list for the day with no intention of making a purchase until another day. My goal was to find a really nice used truck. I didn't know much about GMC trucks other than what I heard from people having a preference. I wanted to start there first, at Royal GMC in Hoover. My sales consultant was Andrew and we hit it off immediately. We discussed my needs in a truck and preferences. My wife and I waited as Andrew pulled up in a new 2025 3.5 L V8 Sierra 1500. Andrew knew I had a black truck (recently totaled) and sure enough he drives up in a black with grayish blue interior (beautiful). My wife and I sat in the vehicle and immediately looked at each other with OMG. I drove the truck and was very impressed. We also drove a 2023 with 25,000 miles which was nice. I can't say enough about Andrew, his knowledge of every detail, his patience in answering my questions and the time he spent showing me the details and how things work before my decision to buy. My decision was for the new 2025 5.3 L V8 Sierra. Our visit with Andrew did not stop there. He spent much more time talking with me about everything while waiting for the paperwork and truck prep. Once the vehicle was mine, Andrew spent all the time I required going over so many details of how things work, connecting my phone and getting the GMC app and just making me comfortable. Andrew is responsible for my decision to purchase that truck that day by connecting with me, knowing every detail about the truck and not putting ANY pressure on me to make my decision. This was the best experience I could hope for and I love the truck. Thank you Andrew!

I took my truck in for mechanical issues. After 7 days of having it and finally getting diagnostics, they recommended a new engine and several other parts which was quoted at just shy of $17,000. I took my truck somewhere else and it was determined it did not need a new engine and only a few parts to fully pair my truck at around $2,400. The Royal GMC person helping me was lacking customer service skills. I called numerous times over a week span and even tried to call the Service Manager to get an update and finally got diagnostics after 7 days. I would not recommend Royal GMC for service issues.

The day I had my car in for service went fine. Customer Service was nice and efficient. However 2 days later I had a message pop up telling me that I needed Service - Brake Fluid Low. I had just had all the fluids changed in my 2020 Buick Enclave so this message really concerned me. There was no brake fluid at all in the reservoir. I called the dealership and I was told that I needed to bring it back ASAP. This meant driving another 60 miles round trip to get my problem looked at. They had to reservice the brake lines. It was done properly this time but I did not feel like this whole issue was that big of a deal to them.

Getting an oil change and tire rotation is quite simple but the process is overwhelming. The service advisors are overworked and very harried. This is my second service and about my 4th trip to the dealership for repair/service. They still cannot tell me why my car shows service leveling system warning which it did again later the same day they could do nothing about it. They tell me my L 87 engine is not part of recall (yet). They take appointments on line through GMC app but then cancel and say first come first serve so you need to be at dealership before it opens to get vehicle serviced.

Went in for full service oil change before a long trip and specified that I wanted windshield wipers changed, tires rotated and wiper fluid filled because it was empty. Got my truck back after 3 hours and had to head on the road and quickly noticed not only wiper blades not changed but fluid was still empty and inspected tires and they had not been rotated. So basically nothing of what I asked but was definitely charged for those things. I would think in an oil change at the very least topping off all your fluids would come standard but I guess not. Been very loyal to this place and bought a 100,000$ truck so I was just disappointed at the lack of attention to the service.

I called the service department beforehand about our 21 Acadia not recognizing the SD card and was told to bring it in and it may be a simple fix on the front line otherwise it may have to take several days. I did exactly that along with an oil change. The service tech chose to not even try to get the SD card situation looked at and said to come back after the new year. Not near as busy as I have seen over the years as I left at 10:30 with hardly any cars waiting. Terrible service when I did as instructed and service tech said to bring it back after the new year. Just more time I have to allocate because the service tech chose not to do the same.

Came in for tire sensor replacement & 8 speed transmission flush due to shuddering. No engine light was on when I arrived. Upon leaving the shuddering was gone and the tire sensors were working, but I had an engine light on. What should I do?

Took the new vehicle back after one day. Dealership had it for three days and when I picked it up. They were not sure if it was fixed so they left the ticket open ( my first mistake). Took it on a trip that I had planned (left three days late) and had to take it back when I returned home. They keep it for 10 more days ( at this time they had it longer than I had it) before they think that had it fixed. One problem is no one called, I had to call and check on the status of the car. I also called the service manager and he did not call me back. Great way to treat someone that just bought a $100,000.00 vehicle

The staff and environment doesn't treat African American people with service and awareness i had a bad experience with service i was look over by white staff members when needed service also the sales representative and sales management gives African American people less on their vehicles than whites and talked many individuals about this and everyone refused to do service with this dealership because of the racial profile against African American i spoken with a white person that purchased a vehicle and they said they doesn't like the was the racial profile African American people so they will support that type atmosphere anymore. I was told this been going on for years i couldn't get the service i need i trade a brand new GMC AT4 in because I was so angry of this racial profile toward me and I been buying GMC for years if look up my profile on the vehicles I purchased for GMC dealership and may other GM dealership has this problem its very said i take my business across town and have a dealership within 5 miles I see we have problem that will never be fix and now people buying older cars because of this racial profile towards African Americans

I just wish that the service person at this dealership would actually take the time to read the mechanic notes so that when the customer ask what was done to our vehicle, we are actually told what was done. On 2-2-26 my 2019 AT4 was stuck in Drive and would not go into Park or Reverse. Was told by the service person that the mechanic found a stick stuck up in the transmission area by the transmission switch and that switch had to be replaced when in reality it was not the switch on the side of the transmission it was the small switch in the steering column. The mechanic notes clearly say that nothing was found wrong under the truck. The steering column switch replacement is a simple job to replace and the part can be bought off of Amazon. No way there was that much labor to replace that switch. So, to the tune of $887 (which was most likely a labor charge related to the original transmission mounted switch quote) I was able to drive the truck again. I have a malfunctioning dashboard and I was told it was because my battery level was 30% and I needed a new battery. I bought my truck there new at Royal a year and a half ago and was told my battery was out of warranty. All of my service work is done at the dealership and I feel that this could have been handled as a goodwill adjustment through the factory. Why should I pay almost $500 for a new battery that may last only a year and a half.

I took my truck in for a standard service and to check a service engine light that came on the day before. I was told I needed to leave my truck at the dealership. My truck was there for 8 days and I was never told what was wrong until it was repaired 8 days after I left it. The communication by the service dept. was non existent and I informed the service rep I had to have a truck for my work. I had to rent a truck for a week and didn't know when I was going to turn it in until the day my truck was repaired. Six days after my truck was in the shop, the service rep tells me I can get a rental furnished but the rental company (Hertz) had no trucks. Total cluster. In the end it was an O2 sensor. 8 days to figure that out and replace it is unacceptable. My vehicle is a 2024 GMC 2500 HD AT4.

Sadly, my second purchase experience from Royal wasn’t nearly as positive as my first purchase experience (2018) from Royal. I purchased a new 2026 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT, and could not make it out of the parking lot without problems. Problem 1: I asked for my financing to take place with 1 particular lender, only to find out the sales manager “forgot” to communicate the information to the person (Jennifer I believe) who would be setting up the financing, who shopped me around with multiple other lenders. 2. Sales Manager also “forgot” to mention to me that Onstar would take a couple of days to setup. 3. On Day 3 of having truck, it died on me in the middle of the road. No real support or even concern from Royal. I email the person who sold me the truck and couldn’t even get a reply. Sales manager also on vacation so no help there. Pretty disappointing… from a returning customer who performs all service that GM recommends at the dealership.

I always ask for Ralph Daniel in service. He has helped me in my several years with Royal, and he does an excellent job. However, as I note every time I come for an oil change and tire rotation the dealership needs an express oil change operation. We're getting older and dropping the cars off for a simple oil change doesn't work and sitting waiting for 2 &1/2 to 3 hours is very uncomfortable. We usually get at the service door at 6:30 a.m. and wait to be in till they open at 7:00 a.m. just to get a jump on the wait time. The work done on the vehicles is good.

I needed an oil change and tire rotation and showed Matthew Higgins, my service advisor the $30 off coupon that I was emailed. He told me the price would be around $130 and with the coupon it would be $100. Because of the conditions of my tires, they didn't perform a tire rotation, I understand this and I'm ok with that not being done but when I questioned the price still being $127.15 and $97.15 with the coupon when the tire rotation wasn't performed, he just said that was the price. My tire sensor light is on and he said one sensor was bad and the batteries on the other three were about to go and quoted me $750 to replace all four sensors, i asked about the extended warranty that I bought from Royal GMC covering any of that and he said he would look into it and call me back later that day, still haven't received a call back three days later. I went to Costco later that day and they quoted me $240 to replace all four sensors or $160 if I did it when i bought new tires. I understand getting service work done at the dealership is usually more expensive but three times the amount is ridiculous. I used to have all of my service work done at Royal GMC when Brandon Jennings worked there and have gone to Express Oil Change for my last couple of oil changes, but after receiving the $30 off coupon I decided to give Royal GMC another chance. Not only did this experience leave a bad taste in my mouth for using Royal GMC service department again but probably will buy my next vehicle from somewhere else.

I was charged $900 for a part that costs $120. I was charged $400 for the part and $390 for labor plus some $38 shop fee and then a 3% fee on top of it to pay with my credit card. Absolute bullshit, I will never be back and never recommend yall. Yall can fuck someone else

I had a Wednesday night surprise when my @check engine" light came on as I was arriving @ choir practice. After cutting off the engine, the fan continued to run. I called Ralph & he suggested that I bring the Envision in the next day. Ralph quicker diagnosed the issue as a coolant valve issue & promptly placed me in a loaner car as he expected the repair to take several days. He later called the same day to advise that GM had sent down a fix (as this had become an issue on numerous cars) & returned my car to me the same afternoon. I met salesman Robert Short in September, while looking around and expressing interest in purchasing a vehicle after the lease on my current vehicle ended in February. He took us on a test drive and talk with us as if we were family or a family friend. Robert would periodically check in with me just to make sure I was still interested and to see if there was anything he could do.
